Kavanaugh Confirmed - 57 to 36
The Senate confirmed Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals Friday morning with a vote of 57 to 36. Majority Leader Sen. Frist released this statement:
"Today the Senate fulfilled its constitutional duty of advice and consent by giving Brett Kavanaugh the fair up-or-down vote he has waited three years to receive. Mr. Kavanaugh is an eminently qualified nominee of considerable experience and distinction. He will make an excellent appellate judge. As Majority Leader, I am committed to confirming additional judicial nominees to the bench who will practice judicial restraint and interpret the law strictly and impartially."
The morning vote followed the debate last night where opponents of the nomination continued to assert that Mr. Kavanaugh did not have sufficient experience. Click on the above link to see the full press release.

It's about time for this - Kavanaugh will be a true superstar on the federal bench, and at just 41 years of age he's got a long career in front of him.
The two R's who missed the vote were Thune and Dole - the 4 dems voting with us were Byrd, Carper, Landrieu, and Nelson.
