The Wall Street Journal and ABA Spar Over Partisan Label
As we noted in a previous post , the Wall Street Journal has revealed the partisan agendas of ABA President Michael Greco and Stephen Tober, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Judiciary. Greco responded in today's WSJ asserting that the editorial was "irresponsible" and that it "mischaracterizes the work of the Standing Committee...and terribly misleads the public." The WSJ editors responded, pointing to the recent ABA report on Presidential signing statements as yet another example of the liberal bias of the organization. The role of the ABA in the judicial nominations process needs to be re-evaluated.
