Senate Makes Some Easy Confirmations
Last week the Senate confirmed three judicial nominees. Although all three confirmations were easy, the path for Randy Smith's confirmation was needless long and shows once again the ridiculousness and extreme partisanship of the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee. How could someone who was confirmed 94-0 have to wait since December 2005 to be confirmed? Just asked Senator Feinstein who blocked his nomination until recently as detailed earlier in this blog.
Norman Randy Smith to be U.S. Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit. Judge Smith was confirmed 94-0.
Marcia Morales Howard to be U.S. District Judge for the Middle District of Florida. Judge Howard was also unanimously confirmed.
Earlier the Senate confirmed Nora Barry Fischer was just confirmed by a vote of 96 to 0 to be to be a United States District Judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
