300 Days and Counting...
The nine Republican Senators on the Judiciary Committee delivered a letter to Chairman Leahy urging him to place the nomination of Peter D. Keisler on the agenda of the next business meeting. The letter has been posted by Ed Whelen on his Bench Memos blog. Three hundred days have passed since Keisler's nomination. The letter stated:
Mr. Keisler's hearing was late last year, providing more than enough time for Senators to complete their evaluations of the nominee. Mr. Keisler's exceptional qualifications speak for themselves, and we are confident that a decisive majority of the Senate would find him to be an excellent addition to the DC Circuit.
