Southwick Confirmation Vote Delayed...

Yesterday, Thursday May 24^th, Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee delayed voting on Leslie Southwick, judicial nominee for the 5^th Circuit Court of Appeals. Democratic Senators stressed that they needed more time to review Southwick's record. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) said "It is common practice in the Judiciary Committee for controversial nominations to be held over for a week so senators can more thoroughly review the nominees' records and testimony." The vote has been postponed until June 7^th. Read more here.
