The Judicial Emergencies in Michigan

In the Monday Editorial, the Detroit News strongly endorsed the nominations of Stephen Murphy and Raymond Kethledge stating, "Both lawyers have distinguished records." The paper laments the use of these nominees as "political pawns" by persons such as Sen. Schumer, and urges that "Murphy and Kethledge should get a hearing and a vote."
