More on Southwick by Obama
Investor's Business Daily criticizes Sen. Obama's efforts to pander to the Democrat base by expressing opposition to Judge Southwick's nomination. Southwick's adherence to the law is disregarded by Obama, who chooses to be the mouthpiece for the liberal groups who target the nomination.
Obama also promotes the race-based criticisms of the nominee. The IBD correctly notes, "While there's a case for more minority representation on a court encompassing a circuit that is more than 30% nonwhite, we find offensive the argument that people of a particular race, gender or ethnicity can be represented or judged fairly only by their own kind."
