Finally, Smooth Recommendation for a Republican Nominated Judge

The Senate Judiciary Committee has unanimously recommended Reagan nominated, George W. Bush re-nominated U.S. District Judge John D. Tinder for promotion to the federal appeals bench.

Some excerpts from the article (link in title above):

"The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday unanimously approved U.S. District Judge John D. Tinder's nomination to the federal appeals court."

"Judicial nominations have, in many instances, become ensnarled in partisan politics in recent years. ... Tinder's nomination seems to be moving quickly. He has long drawn praise from Republicans and Democrats."
