Jon has written numerous articles relating to economics, law, politics, and history, with a special emphasis on agricultural matters. His book "American Agriculture and the Problem of Monopoly" was published by the University of Nebraska Press in 2000. He currently practices law with South Dakota's largest law firm, Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith. His Republican activities include serving as President of College Republicans, working for the Dole for President Campaign, and working for U.S. Senator Larry Pressler (R, SD). He is currently chairman of the Lawyers for Thune Committee and deeply involved the nation's most-watched Senate race. |
