Thomas J. Bogar earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Dickinson College, his Juris Doctor from Seattle University (formerly University of Puget Sound School of Law), and his LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law.
In addition to appearing on television and quoted in trade publications as an estate-planning expert, Mr. Bogar has written for several legal article and has lectured for before the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars.
Mr. Bogar’s practice is concentrated in commercial transactions, taxation, and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Frank, Rosen, Snyder and Moss, LLP, Mr. Bogar was an Assistant Vice President and Counsel for Wilmington Trust Company.
Thomas Bogar is a former U.S. Naval where he served in the Submarine Pacific Fleet during the Cold War.
Since leaving the Navy, Thomas is a Lt. Col. with the U.S. Army, Judge Advocate Corp. Since 9/11, he has been mobilized three times: once after 9/11 with the 10th Mountatin Division, a second time in 2004 as Trial Defense Counsel with the 3rd Infantry Division, Ft. Stewart, GA and currently with the Office of Military Commissions where he has been detailed to represent Guantanamo Bay detainee Abdul Zahir.
Mr. Bogar resides in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania where he is an active member of the Abington Community, Thomas Bogar serves as Director and Legal Counsel for the Helping Hand Foundation, Director for Briar Bush Nature Conservatory, and as Vice Chair for the Abington Zoning Hearing Board.
Mr. Bogar is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
