Peter Schalestock is a former General Counsel of the U.S. Small Business Administration, a member of the RNLA Election Education Committee and the author of "Monitoring of Election Processes By Private Actors," published in the Winter 2008 William Mitchell Law Review. From 2004-2006 he worked on four statewide recounts, including full hand recounts in Washington State and Vermont. He served as legal coordinator for the Washington State Republican Party during the Rossi/Gregoire recounts and contest litigation, as Western Regional Director of Election Day Operations for the Republican National Committee, and as Deputy Counsel for the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee. He has also been Counsel and Communications Director to U.S. Representative Rick White and a private practice attorney in Seattle for five years. He currently is counsel to the Committee on House Administration of the U.S. House of Representatives.
