After high school, in 1990, Chris attended Jones County Junior College, graduating in 1992. After graduating from JCJC, he attended and graduated from William Carey College with a Bachelor of Science degree. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) School of Law, where he was declared a Juris Doctor. Chris graduated, with many honors, near the top of his law school class in 1997.
After law school, Chris accepted one of the most prestigious positions offered to graduating law school students when he entered a two - year federal judicial clerkship as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles W. Pickering, Sr., United States District Court Judge, Southern District of Mississippi.
