Raised in Orlando, Florida (“home” if asked), born in Bethesda, MD, presently living in Arlington, Virginia; also lived in Colorado, Wyoming, Boston, D.C., London (UK) and Connecticut. Attended the University of Wyoming before graduating with a BA cum laude in History from Florida State University. JD from Boston University, Class of 1988, practiced law briefly in Washington, D.C. for a general aviation firm, returned to obtain an LLM in American Banking Law from Boston University in 1992.
Worked in private equity as an investment associate (not as an attorney) before returning to graduate school: MBA in Finance from the University of Florida (1999). Joined a hedge fund in Florida then a mutual fund in Bethesda, MD, before going to the US Postal Service's eCommerce area.
Member of the Women's National Republican Club in New York City; alumna of Acacia Fraternity.
