PRESS RELEASE: Lawsuits Filed to Protect Military Voting Rights, Servicemembers Need Help Because Obama's DOD and DOJ Ignore Them: On October 15, 2012, Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson and Attorney General Bill Schuette declared they would file a lawsuit against 24 local communities to extend the counting deadline for military ballots because those counties failed to send ballots to servicemembers by the deadline set by law.
Mitt Romney's presidential campaign filed a federal lawsuit in Wisconsin on Friday. The campaign also filed complaints with state election officials in Michigan, Mississippi and Vermont.

Co-Chair Publishes Op-Ed on PA Voter ID bills: On June 27, 2011, RNLA Co-Chair Heather S. Heidelbaugh wrote an op-ed supporting passage
of a voter ID law in Pennsylvania. Her article begins with an example of how voter ID laws prevented voter fraud in the 2006 election.
Ms. Heidelbaugh then cites a number of reputable surveys showing that voter fraud is prevalent, voter ID laws do not prevent eligible voters from
casting ballots, and requiring photo ID at the polls is beneficial to elections.

RNLA names Charles J. Professor Ron Rotunda On Kagan’s Recusals: On October 8, 2010, The Washington Times published an opinion piece by longtime RNLA member Professor Ron Rotunda of Chapman University discussing Senator Pat Leahy’s idea to authorize retired Supreme Court justices to hear cases where incoming Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan will have to recuse herself.
