BIO

My name is Christopher Charles Garitee. I began working when I was very young and developed a strong work ethic. My family are immigrants from Italy, making me the first American of my family. I developed a fascination with politics at an early age and have traveled the country working on numerous campaigns ranging from city council elections to presidential campaigns. I graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in August 2013 after attending a study abroad program in Nice, France. While participating in the study abroad, I traveled to Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Germany. After returning to America, I took three weeks to drive from San Diego to Seattle, then from Seattle to New York. The time I spent traveling post-graduation was a remarkable growing experience that has changed me for the better. I was sworn into practice on November 12, 2014 to the New York State Bar. I am also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. As of January 5, 2015, I am also a Notary Public. I currently work at a general practice law firm that has offices both in New York and California. The firm, Gugliotta & Ponzini, PC, is the largest representative of recycling companies in California. We frequently handle litigation on behalf of privately owned recycling companies against the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery. Additionally, the firm functions as a general practice and handles legal work ranging from estate planning and traffic tickets to criminal defense and corporate securities law. I have personally been involved in every type of case that this firm has handled. Additionally, I am an artist who takes commissions for pen and ink, colored pencil, and acrylic paint pieces. I am in the beginning stages of creating an LLC to sell my art work, prints of art work, and local artists' pieces.
