BIO

Brian is a 2012 graduate of The Catholic University of America: Columbus School of Law and is licensed to practice in Maryland. He is currently an Attorney and Manager of Government Relations at the Direct Selling Association. Brian is one of the primary lobbyists for the association on the state and federal level. He also assists in legal and regulatory compliance for companies. He was a Government Affairs Associate with the American Waterways Operators. His primary responsibilities are assisting in advocacy for towboat, tugboat, and barge operators on Capitol Hill and various regulatory agencies at the federal and state level. He was also a legal Intern at the Republican Governors Association. He has assisted the General Counsel in writing motions, researching relevant statutes, writing laws, and staying current on the election laws in 50 states. He also assisted the General Counsel in writing a motion to dismiss for an election law case in Vermont. Brian worked on the Senate Committee for Small Business and Entrepreneurship for ranking member Olympia Snowe. He assisted staff in research, writing, and data analysis for relevant small business issues. Brian was the Summer Law Clerk for the RNLA in 2011. He worked on a wide range of issues in election law involving research, writing, as well as planning the 2011 Election Law Seminar. During his two years at Catholic University Law, Brian interned for Congressman Bob Goodlatte as well as worked as a Summer Law Clerk for the Election Assistance Commission. Prior to entering law school Brian was a Campaign Finance Analyst at the Federal Election Commission for two years in the Reports Analysis Division. Brian is a 2007 graduate of James Madison University.
