Ann R. Robinson is a partner with the law firm Pierce Atwood, and practices with the firm's Government Relations and Healthcare Law Practice Groups. Ann has been active with the Maine Republican Party since 1992, when she was first appointed to the Party's Executive Committee and as Chair of its Rules Committee. Ann currently serves as counsel to the Maine Republican Party. In 2008, Ann became the first woman to chair the Maine Republican State Convention and served again as Chair in 2010 and 2018. Ann has served as a parliamentarian at numerous state conventions and caucuses. In 2010, Ann served as a Co-chair of Governor Paul R. LePage's Transition Team, and has played an active role in a variety of campaigns and Party activities. As a delegate to the 2004 Republican National Convention, she served as Vice-Chair of the Foreign Policy Subcommittee of the National Platform Committee. Ann was state counsel to the 2000 and 2004 Bush-Cheney presidential campaigns, as well as to the 1996 Dole-Kemp presidential campaign. Ann was a member of the George W. Bush for President Florida Recount Team in 2000. She also served as counsel to the Cianchette for Governor Campaign in 2002, and to the Bennett for U.S. Senate Campaign in 2012. In the early 1990s., Ann served as regular Republican panelist on Mainely Issues, a weekly television talk show on political matters and current events. Deeply engaged in public service, Ann was recently appointed to the Maine Turnpike Authority, and was reappointed to the Uniform Law Commission, by Governor LePage. She was previously appointed by Governor John R. McKernan to the Maine Human Rights Commission in 1992. She served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston from 2003-2005 as an appointee of the Bush Administration. Ann was the Republican nominee for Maine Attorney General in 1996. Currently, Ann also serves on the Board of Directors of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and is a Board Member Emeritus of the Olympia Snowe Women's Leadership Institute. She is a member of the Legal Committee of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston. Ann is a graduate of Brown University and the University of Maine School of Law and resides in Portland.
