Brittany Mountjoy currently serves as a manager of regulatory and legislative affairs at the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA). At SOCMA, Brittany leads the international trade, tax, and regulatory issues for the organization. Brittany also serves as an advisor to the United States Trade Representative and the Department of Commerce on the International Trade Advisory Committee (ITAC) 3 on Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Health/Science Products. Prior to SOCMA, she came from DuPont working as an International Government Affairs Program Specialist in Washington, DC. Brittany led the advocacy strategies to drive business objectives in strategic growth markets, with a specific focus on global issues such as trade. Additionally, Brittany Mountjoy served on the Steering Committee for the Global Harvest Initiative.

Prior to DuPont, Brittany led the Alliance to Feed the Future, a coalition of 123 members comprised of trade associations, universities, and think tanks. Additionally, she worked on food biotechnology and food safety issues at the International Food Information Council (IFIC), a non-profit organization focused on communicating science based information on food and nutrition related issues.

Brittany Mountjoy grew up in a rural area in Virginia and spent many years in the poultry industry. Brittany graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelorís of Science in Animal and Poultry Sciences and a Bachelorís of Art in International Relations. While working at IFIC, she completed her Masters of Science at Virginia Tech, focusing on the public policy impact of food biotechnology, and is currently pursing her law degree at American University Washington College of Law in the evening.
