PAUL M. RENNER
Paul M. Renner is an experienced litigator and legal counselor. His practical approach focuses on understanding the business needs and goals of his clients and developing tailored legal strategies that serve those needs and goals. He represents a diverse range of clients throughout the State of Florida.
Paul received a history degree from Davidson College. After graduation, he earned his commission in the U.S. Navy. While on active duty, he served as Officer of the Deck and Small Boat Officer during combat operations in support of Operation Desert Storm (1991). After the war, Paul attended law school at the University of Florida.
Upon graduation, he returned to public service as an Assistant State Attorney. He was selected among his peers to supervise misdemeanor attorneys and later prosecuted serious felony offenses as a lead trial attorney in the Felony Trial Unit. He conducted dozens of jury trials and developed a strong reputation for his successful efforts to prosecute criminals and advocate on behalf of crime victims. His substantial trial experience continues to benefit his business clients as their advocate in court.
As a Navy reservist, Paul was called to service in Afghanistan for most of 2011. As an Intelligence Officer, he led a team focused on counter-terrorism efforts. He was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal based, in part, for his “direct and significant contribution to the disruption of foreign facilitation networks [that] led to the capture or arrest of numerous key network leaders, delivering a considerable blow against the enemies of our Nation.”
He is actively involved in the community and dedicated to making Northeast Florida a great place to live and work.
