Manage center by: (1) developing and implementing strategic plan; (2) establishing budget (eventually $2 million plus endowment of $2.2 million) and hiring administrative staff; and, (3) lobbying for state and federal research grants. Transitioned out of the center by: (1) managing national search for and hired Director; (2) managing national search for and hired Eminent Scholar holding We Will Rebuild Chair; and, (3) taking up new duties managing the university's portfolio of federal relations projects.
