Deborah T. Bucknam was born in Stoneham Mass on October 4, 1946. She received an AB degree in Elementary Education from William & Mary in Virginia in 1969, and a JD cum laude from Vermont Law School in 1979. She has been practicing in Vermont Courts for 29 years, including business litigation, personal injury, employment, real property disputes, civil rights, and family and domestic cases. She is the former Chair of the Caledonia County Republican Committee, and delegate to the Vermont State Republican Committee. She is a member of the Vermont and New Hampshire Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, She is married to Charles W. Bucknam, Jr., and they have two daughters, Jennifer B. Black, and Serena A. Varley, both of whom are lawyers. Jennifer is an associate in Attorney Bucknam's firm.
