Norman G. Printer, Jr. graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts and attended Indiana University School of Law (summa cum laude). He received an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law, with Distinction, from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2003. He has published several law review articles on topical developments in international law.

Norm is currently an Associate Deputy General Counsel (International Affairs) with the Office of the DoD General Counsel.
He previously served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and had deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to act as a legal advisor to the investigative task force supporting the military commissions. Prior to entering active duty in June 1997, he was a litigation associate in private practice. Norm has also held faculty appointments to the University of Alabama School of Law and the Tulane University School of Law.
