Tim Howes has provided quality legal services in New Jersey since 1989. He is one of the leading Republican election attorneys in New Jersey, providing legal services on a regular basis to campaigns, political action committees and state and county Republican chairs.
The late, great Union County Prosecutor John Stamler gave Tim his start in 1989. Tim honed his trial skills as an Assistant Prosecutor from 1989-1992 before entering private practice.
Tim maintains two offices. At Howes & Howes, he specializes in all phases of family law and residential real estate. At the Law Office of William Timothy Howes, he provides top-notch election law services.
As an election attorney, Tim has represented the gubernatorial campaigns of Bret Schundler, Chris Christie and Jack Ciattarelli. He has represented the presidential campaigns of Fred Thompson (2008) and Mitt Romney (2012). From 2011-2017, Tim served as counsel to the NJGOP. He has served as counsel to Assembly Republican Victory since 2011, and provides legal services to the Somerset and Hunterdon County Republican organizations.
Tim lives in Gladstone with his wife Katherine. His daughter Ashley is a sales professional for WeWork. His son Will is a senior in Chemical Engineering at Lafayette College.
In the community, Tim served one term as a borough councilman in Peapack-Gladstone. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Raritan Valley Community College and of the Carrier Foundation.
