Kathryn is Deputy General Counsel and Legislative Liaison, Department of Child Safety, formerly an Assistant Attorney General in the office’s Child and Family Protection Division. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Kathryn received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton, and a Juris Doctorate from DePaul College of Law. While in law school, Kathryn worked in the policy offices of the Illinois and Arizona Attorneys General. Following law school, Kathryn moved to Arizona, where she clerked for the Goldwater Institute. Her areas of interest include child welfare and fiscal policy. In 2014, she was named the Emerging Star for her division. Kathryn is also a foster and adoptive mother.
