Chris Armstrong is Deputy Chief Oversight Counsel to Chairman Orrin Hatch on the Senate Finance Committee. Prior to returning to the Senate, he conducted oversight and investigations for Chairman Dave Camp on the Ways and Means Committee and was Investigative Counsel to the Senate Finance and Judiciary Committees under Ranking Member Chuck Grassley.

Chris graduated from the Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law in 2005. During law school he was an editor of the Catholic University Law Review and president of the Federalist Society and Republican Law Students Association. He is a member of the Virginia Bar, and serves as co-chair of the Federalist Society Capitol Hill Chapter.
