Barbara is a lawyer with experience in the rule of law, development, diplomacy and public relations. She was involved in a unique training program encompassing one fourth of all the judges in Iraq, including the presiding judge in Saddam Hussein´┐Żs trial. She lived in Poland for three years and has just returned to the Washington, DC area.

Since 2004, she managed a World Bank Grant given to the Central European and Eurasian Law (CEELI) Institute (Czech Republic) to promote judicial sector reform in 11 countries of Central Europe and Eurasia. She currently serves as a member of the International Advisory Board of the CEELI Institute.

Barbara spent three years in South Africa (1996-1999), and her experience in the public sector includes managing a $16.5 million Administration of Justice (AOJ) Bilateral Agreement with the South African Ministry of Justice (MOJ) for USAID, which was designed to transform the justice system in South Africa.

Her languages include English, Spanish, Italian, French, and Portuguese. She has a fair knowledge of Russian, and is a beginner with Polish.
