Daniel P. Carter is Of Counsel to the firm. He has a diverse litigation practice and has handled disputes involving environmental liability, multi-district litigation, class actions,insurance, toxic tort, CERCLA, and Superfund issues.His practice includes trade secret and non compete matters as well. He also represents clients in copyright and trademark infringement, both prosecuting and defending claims. Mr. Carter has achieved the highest rating in Martindale-Hubbell and is a Super Lawyer.
His practice is in state and federal courts. He has represented clients in numerous jurisdictions in the U.S. as well as the DIS in Germany.
Mr. Carter is a defender of the 2nd Amendment and has represented manufacturers, distributors and sellers in a variety of business matters and litigation. He is a Benefactor Member of the NRA and a Life Member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Assoc.
Mr. Carter has been involved in election law matters in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. He served as the Chairman for the Lawyers for Bush-Cheney 2004 Cuyahoga County Campaign, McCain-Palin 2008 and Romney-Ryan in 2012. He previously served as Assistant Professor, Admissions Director (1974-1979) and Adjunct Professor of Trial Practice (1980-1985) at The Delaware Law School (Widener University School of Law), in Wilmington, Delaware.
Mr. Carter is Vice Chairman as well as a member of the Finance, Executive and Policy Committees of the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County and also serves as its legal counsel.He was elected to the State Central and Executive Committees of Ohio. He Also serves as an Admissions Officer for The U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a Board Member of the Northern Ohio USO.
He is also admitted in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Carter is married with four children.
