Ryan Triplette is a Counsel on the Senate Committee on the Judiciary for Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA), specializing in intellectual property, election and tort reform issues. During the past two years, she has worked on the Supreme Court nominations of Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Samuel Alito, and the passage of three bills into law (S. 5, the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005, S. 256, the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, and H.R. 32, the Stop Counterfeiting in Manufactured Goods Act of 2005). Ryan has worked on the Judiciary Committee since 2003, having been hired by then-Chairman Hatch (R-UT) directly out of law school to serve as a Legal Fellow. Within months of joining the Committee, she was promoted to the position of Counsel, specializing in tort reform measures such as asbestos and the enacted class action legislation.

Originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Ryan Triplette is a member of the Virginia State Bar and holds a J.D. from University of Richmond School of Law and B.A. in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University. While in law school, Ryan spent a substantial amount of time in Washington D.C., clerking for the counselís offices of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the Republican National Committee, specializing in election law. Since coming to Washington, she has devoted her personal time and energy to mentoring individuals interested in the intersection of law and politics and encouraging a greater understanding of the area by serving on the Young Women Leaders Board for the Women and Politics Institute at American University and the Advisory Board for Vanderbilt Universityís Curb Center for Arts, Entertainment, and Public Policy. In addition to these activities, Ryan is also a member of several social and philanthropic organizations throughout Washington, D.C.
