Ronald W. Kosh is Vice President of Public and Government Affairs for the AAA Mid-Atlantic organization in Wilmington, DE, comprised of nearly 4-million member auto club and its property and casualty insurance subsidiaries.
Responsible for all aspects of AAA Mid-Atlantic public policy development and advocacy, Kosh’s role also incorporates external communications, community, legislative and media relations in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. He is also the organizational liaison for its various Regional Boards of Directors.
Kosh has been with AAA for more than forty years and has held a wide range of positions at both the national and regional level. He was managing director of corporate affairs and a national officer and where he constructed an accreditation process for AAA’s regional corporate members, directed legal, management and financial consulting services and relations with its international affiliates.
Kosh also served for several years as chief executive of the regional affiliate, AAA Potomac and its subsidiaries serving greater metro Washington, D.C., Maryland, and northern Virginia.
Joining AAA Mid-Atlantic in 1997 through a merger of operations, Kosh served initially as a vice president responsible for merger/acquisition integration, and administrative services including real estate and facilities management, membership systems, purchasing, contract services, and business-line measurements.
A Special Operations veteran of the Vietnam War, he holds B. A. degrees from the Pennsylvania State University and a Juris Doctor from George Mason University. Kosh currently serves on the boards of the Pennsylvania Resources Council, the Delaware Valley Crime Commission, the Better Business Bureaus of Eastern Pennsylvania and Washington, DC, the Mid-Atlantic Foundation for Safety and Education. He has been Governor’s appointee to two terms on the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Auto Theft Prevention Authority and currently serves as its Treasurer.
Kosh and his wife have three adult children and reside in East Bradford, Pennsylvania. A son is a USMC infantry Captain currently deployed in Afghanistan.
