Mr. Nolan began his legal career as a corporate associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis, focusing his practice primarily on private equity transactions. In 2010 he left Kirkland & Ellis to join the legal department of Dow Corning Corporation, a global chemical company with annual revenues in excess of $6B. Mr. Nolan currently serves Dow Corning as Senior Counsel and Manager of Governance and Compliance for Greater China, working from the company's Shanghai office.

Mr. Nolan has served as the student body president of the University of Michigan (2001-02), as the director of student operations for the "Posthumus for Governor" campaign (MI, 2002), and as campaign manager for Justice Steven Markman's re-election to the Michigan Supreme Court (2004). He spent election week 2012 volunteering in the "Romney for President" legal war room in Ohio, and was a panelist at the 2013 RNLA Election Law Conference in Chicago.
