Adam V. Sussman is a corporate associate at Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen, P.C. He focuses his practice on the formation, structuring and on-going operation of hedge funds and private equity funds and advises private funds on investment management, securities laws, compliance and regulatory issues and other general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen, P.C., Adam was a corporate associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he was part of the Private Funds Group.
Prior to practicing law, Adam worked as an analyst at an early-stage investment fund and business incubator based in New York's Silicon Alley where he evaluated new ventures, conducted due diligence, and coordinated funding with entrepreneurs and investors, and served in the War Room of Sen. John McCain's 2008 Presidential campaign as part of the Media and Rapid Response team.
Adam earned his BA from Yale University, with Distinction, and his JD from Northwestern University School of Law. Adam also holds an MA concentrating in Political Economy and Graduate Certificates in Emerging Markets & Country Risk Analysis and Health Care Ethics.
During his time at Yale, Adam was President of the Yale College Republicans. Adam previously served as a Republican Committeeman in Nassau County, New York.
