Joel Callins is an attorney and managing partner at The Callins Law Firm. Along with his talented staff, Joel assists clients in matters dealing with foreclosure, eviction, litigation, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant law, probate law, defaults and creditor collections. He has over 17 years of experience, is a member of the the State Bar of Georgia and a member of the Bar for theGeorgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern districts of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
Joel is also a member of the Buckhead Business Association, the American Bar Association, the Dougherty County Bar Association, the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) and the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association (GRECAA). He was named Georgia Rising Star 2012 and 2013 by Super Lawyers Magazine and is a graduate of Leadership Buckhead’s class of 2012 and Leadership Georgia class of 2015. He earned his bachelor of art history from Birmingham Southern College and received his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law. He also earned a Masters in business administration from American Intercontinental University.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Joel grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and now commutes between Atlanta and Albany, Georgia. In his spare time, you can find Joel spending time with his wife and two children. He enjoys playing the piano and other keyboard-based instruments and is the minister of music at Words of Faith AME Church.
