RNLA Jobs & Opportunities

The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) has three openings for Regional Political Directors.  Each political director will have additional duties, described below.

RNLA Regional Political Directors (RPDs) will be charged with all aspects of advancing events for RNLA members in their assigned states.  Such work includes but is not limited to recruiting attendees, administrative activities such as finding sites for events, uniquely legal activities such as Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit compliance for some events, and membership recruitment for their assigned states. All positions are based in Washington, DC but will require frequent travel to the relevant assigned region.  All positions involve working at home and remote work the majority of the time and all RPDs must be able to work independently.

While all three RPD positions have organizing and promoting events in common, secondary duties differ:

  • Position #1 - Regional Political Director/Researcher.  In addition to duties as RPD, legal research, drafting of updates on election law issues, and working on CLE compliance matters will be secondary duties of this position. Please note: this position will not involve legal work per se, but rather research of legal matters and legal policy work.  Lawyer preferred, 0-2 years experience.
  • Position #2 - Regional Political Director/Executive Assistant.  In addition to duties as RPD, this person will help with office management, correspondence, and other tasks to assist the Executive Director.  This position will require frequent travel to Burke, Virginia.  Detail-oriented non-lawyer preferred.
  • Position #3 - Regional Political Director/Social Media Coordinator.  In addition to duties as RPD, this person will serve as primary social media coordinator for the RNLA.  This includes helping manage Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin pages.  Social media management experience preferred.  Experience with election or legal issues helpful but not required.

All positions start immediately and are for time periods through the 2020 elections.  Starting pay is $45,000-65,000 for the first year with a significant increase/bonus in 2020.  Full benefits.  To apply, send position of interest, resume, and cover letter to [email protected]
