Democrats Go AWOL on Field Hearing at the Southern Border

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · March 15, 2023 9:44 PM

House Democrats failed to show up to a field hearing held Wednesday morning in McAllen, Texas to discuss the dire situation at the southern border. As Congressman Mark Green put it, the Democrats have gone "AWOL" on their duties as Members of Congress.

.@RepMarkGreen: “The Democrats…decided to bail [on the border hearing]. Not even show up for work. This is where the duty is today and tomorrow. They’re absent from duty. In the Army, we called that AWOL. The Democrats will be AWOL.” pic.twitter.com/BtublYTvZ6

Judge: Border is "Meaningless Line in the Sand" Under Biden

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · March 08, 2023 6:17 PM

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell gave the Biden Administration seven days to comply with federal immigration laws after siding with Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody in a lawsuit that has been ongoing since 2021:

A federal judge sided with Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody today, ruling that President Joe Biden is responsible for the border crisis and claiming the president effectively turned the U.S. Southwest Border into “little more than a speedbump.” In a scathing 100-plus-page opinion, U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell ruled that Biden’s catch-and-release policy is unlawful and gave the administration seven days to comply with federal immigration law.

Garland Faces New Congress for First Time

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · March 01, 2023 6:05 PM

On Wednesday, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee for the first time this Congress. Like in past hearings, Attorney General Garland failed to own up to the obvious problems with the Department of Justice (DOJ) under his leadership. However, a major admission he made alluded to an undeniable failure of the Biden Administration as a whole—Biden's Border Crisis:

Attorney General Merrick Garland says Mexican drug cartels unleashed the fentanyl crisis on the U.S. "on purpose," and urged the Mexican government to "do more" to combat drug trafficking.

Republicans Provide Stark Contrast to Biden Border Visit

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · January 11, 2023 12:35 PM

Two separate groups of Republican senators had eventful visits to the southern border this week, providing a stark contrast to President Biden's visit over the weekend. As we noted earlier this week, the Biden visit was short and provided a sanitized look at the issues facing border states.

Biden Finally Visits the Border

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · January 09, 2023 10:05 PM

On Sunday, President Biden finally visited the U.S.-Mexico Border after two years in office. Ironically, one highlight of President Biden's trip was a photo-op in front of the border wall erected by the Trump Administration to deter illegal border crossings from Mexico—the very same border wall that he and other Democrats pledged to cease building. In recent weeks, both Democrats and Republicans have criticized President Biden for the border crisis created by his administration.

Biden got his photo-op by the border wall. The same wall his party stopped construction on.

ICYMI: SCOTUS Blocks Biden Admin from Lifting Title 42

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · December 21, 2022 5:42 PM

Earlier this week, the U.S. Supreme Court stayed a lower court's ruling to keep the pandemic-era Title 42 immigration policy in place which many see as the only thing stopping the crisis out our southern border from becoming even more out of control than it already is. National Review reported:

In a filing, Chief Justice Roberts stayed the lower court order that ended the pandemic-era policy, which had allowed the administration to expel illegal immigrants as a means to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. Roberts gave the DOJ until Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. to file a response to the states petitioning to maintain Title 42.

DHS Focused on Censorship While Crisis Rages on Southern Border

Shocking video released by Fox News earlier today reveals that Biden's Border Crisis is not letting up anytime soon.

NEW: Our thermal drone team witnessed several hundred migrants crossing illegally into Normandy, TX before sunrise this AM. Per CBP source, Border Patrol’s Del Rio sector has already had over 46,000 illegal crossings since October 1st, including 1,700+ in last 24 hours. @FoxNews pic.twitter.com/W5FVL1G0eF

Democrats' Response to Border Crisis is an Affront to Law and Order

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · October 20, 2022 5:42 PM

Biden's Border Crisis is off the charts, and there's no end in sight.

Border numbers:
- 3.6 million illegal crossings
- 900,000 known "got-aways"
- 20,000 pounds of deadly fentanyl found
- 78 terrorist suspects crossed in the last fiscal year
- 0 visits to the border by Joe Biden in 42 years of being a politician pic.twitter.com/4Q43gN7Mzf

— Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) October 20, 2022

It's no wonder considering the Biden Administration and Democrat lawmakers are all practically encouraging people to cross the border with their policies in a direct affront to law and order.

Border Crisis Fueled by Migrants from "Remote Countries"

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · September 27, 2022 5:38 PM

When thinking about illegal immigration, immigration from Central America typically comes to mind. However, more and more immigrants are coming from countries beyond our neighbors directly to the south of us:

Undocumented crossings at the U.S. southern border have long been dominated by people from Mexico and Central America — but for the first time since at least the turn of the century, migrants from other nations made up the majority of those stopped by authorities.

Left Changes Tune on Border Crisis When It Enters Their Backyard

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · September 16, 2022 9:26 PM

After months of Democrats continually denying its existence, the left exploded with outrage after the Biden Border Crisis reached Martha's Vineyard, home to former President Obama and liberal stronghold. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis relocated 50 migrants there earlier this week.

NEW: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent two planes full of migrants who crossed the border illegally to Martha’s Vineyard today. https://t.co/M1jRhKLuIc
