It was a busy week for the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) exposing and defeating the left’s election shenanigans.

Associate Counsel John Madigan helped ensure Wisconsin's presidential primary election was open, fair, and honest. In addition, RNLA Wisconsin Chair Lane Ruhland addressed a statewide audience with her WisPolitics.com guest column in support of referendum questions to ban Zuckerbucks.

In California, RNLA President and Executive Director Michael Thielen's hometown newspaper, The Orange County Register, featured his guest column exposing that state's election chaos and confusion.

Last week, the Oakland NAACP shocked many for speaking out against the dangerous soft-on-crime policies of Leftist city leaders and demanding that a "state of emergency" be declared in response to the city's ongoing crime crisis. Now, a Democrat member of the D.C. City Council is calling for the National Guard to be called in in response to a recent onslaught of violent crime in our nation's capital.

The Oakland, California chapter of the NAACP has broken with its typical support for leftist policies and released a letter condemning the city's rogue prosecutor and the "defund the police" movement for the city's ongoing crime crisis. The Washington Free Beacon reported:

The Oakland NAACP released a statement Thursday calling for state and local elected leaders to declare a "state of emergency" as a result of increasing violent crime in the California city.

Rogue leftist prosecutors have proven time and time again that they have no shame in imposing their radical agenda on the jurisdictions they've been elected or appointed to protect. This time, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón has suspended a line prosecutor allegedly for referring to a controversial defendant by his birth pronouns:

A ranked-choice voting (RCV) disaster occurred in Oakland, California's recent election after the wrong winner was likely declared in a school board race. Even worse, the mistake wasn't admitted until the end of last month. The Mercury News reported:

Here’s what went wrong in Oakland: The software provided by well-known elections firm Dominion Voting Systems allows cities and counties to activate a “suspended votes” feature that does not immediately count votes where the first-choice column is left blank but subsequent columns are filled.

In an apparent leak from the New York attorney general's office, the identities of donors to former UN Ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley's nonprofit, Stand for America, have been revealed to the public. Politico reports:

Like other nonprofits, Stand For America files an annual tax return with the IRS. While the agency and the nonprofit must make those filings available to the public, including the amounts of contributions to the group, such nonprofits do not have to disclose the identities of their donors.

Contrary to allegations from the Left that states like Iowa and Georgia engaged in voter suppression by passing stronger election laws after the 2020 election, these states are experiencing record-breaking voter turnout.

California is set to vote on whether to recall Governor Gavin Newsom on Tuesday, September 14th. RNLA Co-Chair Harmeet Dhillion recently appeared on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" to discuss the election.

Two potential instances of voter fraud have been discovered in California. A Democrat city councilman has been charged with conspiracy to commit election fraud and attempted bribery, and in a separate incident, 300 gubernatorial recall ballots were found in the vehicle of a "passed out felon."

The Supreme Court reaffirmed strong First Amendment protection against voyeuristic government compulsory disclosure rules last week in Americans for Prosperity Foundation v. Bonta. While we wrote about this last week, this is an important decision that deserves a second look. The Court ruled that California cannot require non-profit religious, charitable and civic organizations to disclose their donors to the state as a condition of soliciting contributions from Californians. The California requirement was started by then-Attorney General Kamala Harris. The Court’s opinion is a rebuke to the now Vice President.
