Opposing the Weaponization of Government "Shouldn’t be a Partisan Issue"

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · February 14, 2023 4:01 PM

Last week, the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government held its first hearing to discuss "the politicization of the FBI and DOJ and attacks on American civil liberties." A variety of topics were covered including the targeting of concerned parents, Biden family corruption, and the First Amendment.

Parents are NOT domestic terrorists. The American people agree.

The Biden Administration’s weaponization against parents is why the American people are losing trust in corrupt government agencies.@Weaponization is bringing accountability. pic.twitter.com/W2sEDTcWY7

Senate Republicans Call on Judiciary Dems to Hold Hearing on Biden Border Crisis

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · September 03, 2021 7:13 PM

Senate Judiciary Republicans led by Chuck Grassley are calling on Chairman Dick Durbin to call a hearing on President Joe Biden's worsening border crisis:

“It is time for this Committee’s willful blindness to the situation at our southern border to come to an end. It is not a ‘challenge,’ and it is not ‘seasonal.’ It is a crisis of historic and monumental proportions that deserves this Committee’s immediate attention,” the senators wrote. “No matter how much the Committee majority may want to ignore the crisis at the southern border and neglect its responsibilities to conduct oversight of the Biden Administration’s immigration policies, it can do so no longer.”

Iowa Republicans Urge the U.S. House to Not Take Up the IA-2 Election Contest

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · December 17, 2020 11:39 PM

Iowa's congressional delegation has written a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and leadership from the House Committee on Administration urging them not to take up Democrat Rita Hart's election contest in Iowa's 2nd Congressional District. As RNLA previously reported, Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks is the rightful winner of the race, and Hart is looking to take advantage of the Democrat's House majority to circumvent Iowa's procedures and steal the seat.

Dr. Miller-Meeks is the Rightful Winner of IA-2 and Should be Seated by Speaker Pelosi on January 3rd

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · December 11, 2020 4:49 PM

Democrat Rita Hart has announced that she will be filing a petition with the House Administration Committee to challenge the results of Iowa's 2nd congressional district race. Why should this alarm Republicans? Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks clearly won the race, not Rita Hart. You read that right... House Democrats are trying to take advantage of their majority to seat the loser of the Iowa-2 congressional race over the rightful winner.

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · April 02, 2020 3:36 PM

In a normal world, there would be front page screaming headlines of the FBI’s complete failure regarding Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants.  As the Obama appointee Inspector General Michael Horowitz reported on March 30:

As a result of our audit work to date and as described below, we do not have confidence that the FBI has executed its Woods Procedures in compliance with FBI policy. . . . our testing of FISA applications to the associated Woods Files identified apparent errors or inadequately supported facts in all of the 25 applications we reviewed, and interviews to date with available agents or supervisors in field offices generally have confirmed the issues we identified
