Pro-Lifer's House Raided by FBI

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · September 26, 2022 5:18 PM

A Pennsylvania pro-life advocate is scheduled to be arraigned on charges of violating FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinics Entrances Act) on Tuesday after the FBI stormed his house last week. Unfortunately, this appears to be another instance of Biden's DOJ targeting someone with opposing beliefs. The Federalist reported:

The arrest warrant shows Houck accused of “attacking a patient escort” at a Planned Parenthood facility in violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, a federal law used to restrict the actions of pro-life protesters and counselors in front of abortion facilities. Mark, who also runs a men’s ministry devoted in part to rescuing men from pornography addictions, made a habit of driving two hours to Philadelphia every week to spend his Wednesdays speaking and counseling in front of the Planned Parenthood – Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center.

Updates on the Mar-a-Lago Raid and FBI Involvement in Suppressing the Hunter Biden Laptop Story

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · September 01, 2022 6:47 PM

On Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Canon declined to immediately issue a ruling on whether a special master will be appointed to review documents seized in the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) raid on Mar-a-Lago in August. Fox News reported that Judge Canon said she would issue a ruling "in due course."

Transparency Is a Necessity for Recent DOJ and FBI Actions

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · August 30, 2022 5:28 PM

The Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have rightly come under fire in recent weeks for their raid on former President Donald Trump's home and seizure of Congressman Scott Perry's personal cell phone. No doubt, transparency surrounding these actions is a necessity if the DOJ and FBI want to maintain any semblance of legitimate law enforcement agencies going forward.

Parental Rights Win Big in FL School Board Elections

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · August 25, 2022 7:43 PM

When it comes to electing people who will defend our rights, many believe the races for statewide and federal office are the most important. However, races for local offices play a crucial role in ensuring that our liberties are preserved from the ground up. In Florida, parental rights won big during Tuesday's primary as several school districts had their school boards flip to conservative control:

Five school boards in Clay, Miami Dade, Duval, Sarasota, and Martin counties are now Republican-dominated. Miami’s takeover is especially notable as it became the largest county in America with a conservative school-board majority. . .

Sen. Ron Johnson: No Place for Political Bias at DOJ and FBI

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · August 01, 2022 5:40 PM

Allegations are piling up accusing the DOJ and the FBI of engaging in political bias in favor of the Biden family in an investigation into Hunter Biden's laptop. But as Senator Ron Johnson said on Twitter: "Political bias has no place at the Department of Justice or the FBI."

Political bias has no place at the Department of Justice or the FBI.

The American people deserve the truth. I will continue to call for any potential corruption within our federal agencies to be investigated to the fullest extent of the law. https://t.co/IjF0p9TMzK

DOJ Needs to Enforce the Law and Protect Justices

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · July 13, 2022 8:29 PM

The far left’s efforts to intimidate, harass, and even do harm to Supreme Court justices have taken another nasty turn:

A group offering bounty payments for sightings of conservative Supreme Court justices is the latest harassment campaign prompting Republican lawmakers to call for immediate action by the Justice Department.

While it is definitely the right thing to do to protect Supreme Court justices and all judges, it may also be what the law demands:

The DOJ Stands Ready to Tilt the Electoral Scales in the Administration's Favor

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · July 11, 2022 5:43 PM

With the Midterm Elections only a few months away, the nation's attention is starting to focus on the Department of Justice (DOJ) and what role the DOJ might play in this election to help Democrats.  Just over a year ago, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced his intention to double the number of lawyers working in the Voting Section of the DOJ's Civil Rights Division, which is charged with enforcing voting laws.  With a couple of well-publicized exceptions (e.g., Georgia, Texas, and Arizona), so far the DOJ has been relatively quiet.  Is this the calm before the storm?

DOJ Shows True Colors in Non-Citizen Voting Case

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · July 06, 2022 5:44 PM

Non-citizens should not vote in American elections.  Period.  Even a child can quickly understand why this is such a necessary principle for maintaining free and fair elections.  Yet Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) seems to think otherwise.

Yesterday, the DOJ Civil Rights Division filed a lawsuit against Arizona for passing H.B. 2492, a commonsense bill that requires proof of citizenship for registering to vote.  And as the Biden border crisis rages on, the DOJ’s true colors are beginning to shine through.

Blowback from DOJ's Assault on Parents' 1st Amendment Rights

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · October 12, 2021 8:23 PM

The blowback from the Biden Justice Department's latest overreach has now reached the state level.

The Pennsylvania School Boards Association tells Delaware Valley Journal it disavows a letter last week from the national school board group asking that parents protesting education policy be investigated as possible violent domestic terrorists, That letter resulted in swift action from Attorney General Merrick Garland — and a swift backlash from advocates of parental rights and opponents of federal interference in local law enforcement.
