Record Turnout Destroys Voter Suppression Claims

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · June 16, 2022 8:23 PM

Contrary to allegations from the Left that states like Iowa and Georgia engaged in voter suppression by passing stronger election laws after the 2020 election, these states are experiencing record-breaking voter turnout.

Record Voter Turnout in Georgia Dispels Democrat Myths

Posted on Blog by Anna Dean · May 24, 2022 4:30 PM

Despite Joe Biden and other Democrats calling Georgia’s Election Integrity Act “Jim Crow 2.0,” the 2022 primary election early voting turnout has reached a record high.

857,401 voters cast their ballots leading up to Election Day: an all-time high for Georgia.  But contrary to allegations on the Left that Georgia's new voting laws would suppress voters, this record turnout is actually the result of these recent election integrity reforms passed by the GOP-led state legislature and signed into law by Republican Governor Brian Kemp.

Democrats Destroy Emergency Relief Bill for Politics

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · March 23, 2020 3:45 PM

Shame on you, Speaker Pelosi.  At a time when Americans were coming together, she blew up the bipartisan coronavirus relief package for her legislative desires.

Senate spends all weekend negotiating a bipartisan deal. Agreement reached. Pelosi flies in from California, whips out her unrelated “wishlist,” and says no. Senate Democrats then vote against proceeding on a bill they negotiated.

Jaw dropping.

The Big Loser Yesterday: Early Voting

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · March 04, 2020 10:33 PM

As NBC reported last night:

The number of early votes cast in the Democratic primaries for Super Tuesday contests is 4 million, according to figures as of Monday provided by TargetSmart, the National Election Poll and state secretaries of state, which were analyzed independently by NBC News.

The total includes 1.6 million in California, where 415 delegates are at stake, or 30 percent of the Super Tuesday total.

Many of those voters, however, cast their ballots before three of the candidates withdrew: Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer. That led to frustration on the part of some of their supporters on Monday and Tuesday when they learned that their early votes had been wasted on candidates who were no longer in the race. (In almost all states, an early vote is final once it is cast.)

Democrats' Rush to Enact Election "Reforms" in NY Foreshadows HR1 in Congress

Posted on Blog by Lisa Dixon · January 29, 2019 7:21 PM

Now that Republicans have lost their longstanding majority in the New York Senate, New York rushed through several election "reforms" at the beginning of the legislative session, with no committee hearing process or input from the public.  The package of legislation* was introduced on January 10, passed the Assembly and Senate on January 14, and was signed by the Governor on January 24.  This likely foreshadows how the Democrats will rush House Resolution 1 through the House on the federal level, though fortunately, the Republican majority in the Senate under the leadership of Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will block its harmful provisions from becoming law on the federal level.
