Democrats Lose All Credibility with FEC Nominee

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · April 08, 2022 6:23 PM

Democrats have spent the last two years criticizing even the slightest concerns expressed by conservatives about the integrity of U.S. elections. Then why did the Biden Administration nominate Dara Lindenbaum to fill a seat on the Federal Election Commission (FEC)? As the Washington Examiner reports, Lindenbaum signed on to allegations that lacked credibility about the outcome of the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election:

In a lawsuit she filed in November 2018 on behalf of Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams's nonprofit group, she signed her name to several bad-faith allegations, many of which had already been debunked at that time. But one of these allegations truly stands out for its brazen fearmongering and lack of credible evidence: the charge that faulty or rigged voting machines were actually switching voters' choices when they went to vote in the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election.

Harris County, TX Election Official Resigns After Massive Failure

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · March 10, 2022 8:49 PM

For years, the GOP has criticized Harris County, Texas elections for policies that undermine confidence in the system and promote incompetence. This week, their criticism was proven justified. After calls for her resignation, Harris County Elections Administrator Isabel Longoria announced that she would leave her post in July after massive failures during a recent election led to thousands of ballots not being counted properly:

Late Saturday, election officials in Harris County said that an "oversight" led to 10,000 ballots not being counted. Those votes — 6,000 Democratic and 4,000 Republican — would be added to the final tallies on Tuesday. Longoria was also criticized for a slow count that took 30 hours to complete.

Election Admin Issues Abound in Pennsylvania

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · February 15, 2022 3:15 PM

Recordings obtained from a whistleblower in Delaware County, Pennsylvania show rampant election administration problems in the suburban Philadelphia county:

To date, the videos have exposed a wide array of problems with election integrity, including on-tape admissions that the election laws were not complied with, that 80 percent of provisional ballots lacked a proper chain-of-custody, that there were missing removable drives for some of the voting machines, and that election workers “recreated” new drives to response to the Right to Know request.

Rasmussen: "Election Reform is a Winning Issue for Republicans"

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · November 29, 2021 5:18 PM

Despite popular support for commonsense voter integrity measures, the Left has doubled down on their plan for a federal takeover of elections.

We’re 1 year from the midterms and just months away from many primaries, yet Democrats are still trying to upend our election system by pushing for a federal takeover. This is not only unconstitutional, but it would create chaos for voters and undermine the process. pic.twitter.com/9Mv9erZJMb

RNC: Last Week's Elections Show the Success of GOP-Backed Election Integrity Measures

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · November 09, 2021 8:24 PM

It's been one week since Election Day, and as the RNC reports, last week's elections are proof that GOP-backed voting reforms work:

  • In Georgia, Democrats lied about SB202, Georgia’s election integrity law, which led to a Democrat-backed boycott meant to hurt small businesses.
    • On Election Day, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote that voters saw “short lines,” “few problems,” and no “obstacles at the polls.”

On Thursday, the RNC announced the results of a poll confirming that "voters reject Democrat lies about election integrity efforts." Those polled included Americans identifying as Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. As Georgia Governor Brian Kemp told Fox News, Republicans have the truth on their side when it comes to defending GOP-backed election reforms.

ICYMI: TX Dems Kill Election Reform by Walking Out on Leg Session

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · June 01, 2021 6:00 PM

On Sunday night, the Texas Legislature came to a screeching halt in the final hours of the legislative session when Democrat lawmakers abandoned the House floor to procedurally prevent the House from completing its business just before sine die. This move prevented an election reform package, SB 7, from being voted on due to a lack of quorum. The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board wrote:

As the Texas legislative session drew near its end Sunday, lawmakers appeared set to pass a bill overhauling the state’s elections, until Democrats did one final maneuver: They snuck out of the building. “Members, take your key and leave the chamber discreetly,” a Democratic leader in the state House told his caucus in a 10:35 p.m. text message.

House Democrats Push Divisive Rhetoric Against Popular Voter ID

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · April 23, 2021 9:48 AM

For the second time in a week, congressional Democrats held a hearing on Thursday to propagate their narrative that state election law reforms are a new wave of systematic voter discrimination. This time, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties held a hearing entitled, "Oversight of the Voting Rights Act: The Evolving Landscape of Voting Discrimination." The hearing primarily focused on the issue of voter ID with the Democrat members of the Committee and their witnesses insisting that support for voter ID by Republicans was an attempt to suppress votes. But Mark Robinson, the first Black Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina, repeatedly debunked that myth:

Law Enforcement and Americans Should be Terrified of Kristen Clarke Heading Civil Rights

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth Bradford El-Rassy · April 14, 2021 8:51 PM

Earlier today, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a confirmation hearing on the nomination of Kristen Clarke to be Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice. Clarke is one of the more controversial individuals that President Joe Biden has nominated to hold high-ranking positions in the Administration as RNLA previously noted here and here. At issue most prominently during today's hearing was Clarke's positions on defunding the police, religious liberty, race, and voting rights.
