RNLA Co-Chair Harmeet Dhillon: "Republican Lawyers Are Fighting to Stop The Steal"

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · November 05, 2020 8:57 PM

The days following Tuesday's election have been filled with uncertainty for many Americans. Some may be discouraged, but RNLA Co-Chair Harmeet Dhillon has a message for the American people: "Republican lawyers are fighting to stop the steal."

Never Enough Election Litigation for Progressives

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · October 06, 2020 8:46 PM

The left has always seen the courts as way to get around the will of the people, whether it is their duly elected legislators or the voters themselves.  This cycle, led by Marc Elias who played a key role in the Russia collusion hoax, the left has filed lawsuit after lawsuit to overturn the will of voters.  But that still is not enough for the left:

The craziest part of twitter are progressives who complain that I don't litigate enough.

I'm sorry if the 70+ cases we have brought this cycle and the three dozen we are currently litigating aren't addressing your particular issue.

You do know there are other lawyers, right?

— Marc E. Elias (@marceelias) October 6, 2020

It's Time to Stop Nevada Democrats' Unconstitutional Election Power Grab

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · August 05, 2020 4:11 PM

On Tuesday, Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., the Republican National Committee, and the Nevada Republican Party sued Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske, challenging Assembly Bill 4 (AB4), which was signed into law by Governor Steve Sisolak on Monday after a brief debate on Sunday regarding the 60-page, single-spaced bill.  The bill represents yet another instance of Democrats taking advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic to permanently alter the way elections are run throughout the country.

Democrats Use Inconsistent Standards to Gut Voting Integrity

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · April 20, 2020 6:27 PM

At the same time Democrats are pushing federal support of vote by mail or even bills calling for nationwide vote by mail, an interesting thing happened in Nevada.  As RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel points out in an excellent op-ed that discussed Democrat Party lawyer Marc Elias' tactics:

Democrats demand in-person voting be expanded in Nevada, after just claiming it was too dangerous to go to the polls in Wisconsin. Last week, Elias called in-person voting a “national disgrace.” Now, Elias says “converting to an all-mail election in a matter of weeks” is impossible, and voting must be expanded “safely in person.” Nice of them to catch up to the fact that one-size-fits-all nationalized mail-in voting is a bad idea.

Reliance on Unproven App Mars Iowa's Democratic Caucuses

Posted on Blog by Lisa Dixon · February 04, 2020 5:06 PM

Democrats looked forward to the first results in their 2020 presidential primary yesterday.

Preliminary results have not been released due to widespread problems with an app designed for reporting precinct-level results to the state party. (The "majority" of results are supposed to be released around 5:00 Eastern today.) Some local leaders could not download or run the app, and there were issues even with those who could use it to report:

Democrats Display Dishonesty in “Honest Ads Act”

Posted on Blog by Christina Norton · October 14, 2019 5:58 PM

Democrats in Congress are once again grossly misguided in their attempts to prevent foreign interference in US elections.

Their latest legislation targeting online advertising is misleadingly titled “The Honest Ads Act”. Not only would it harmfully stifle American free speech, but it would accomplish close to nothing in stopping foreign meddling.

On Election Reforms, GOP Wants to Work, Democrats Want to Play Politics

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · August 28, 2019 8:26 PM

After the hotly contested election in 2000, Republicans and Democrats came together to pass the bipartisan Help America Vote Act ("HAVA").  HAVA was a response to the chaos of the 2000 Florida recount.  HAVA was not perfect but it represented a good faith effort on all sides to come together and passed 357-48 in the House and 92-2 in the Senate.  This should be the way all election reform is done.  Unfortunately, it is not true anymore.

Dems Make Ridiculous Claims at Florida Election Hearing

Posted on Blog by Christina Norton · May 06, 2019 4:43 PM

On Monday, the Committee on House Administration's Election Subcommittee held a hearing in Florida on “Voting Rights and Election Administration.”

Democrats intentionally stacked the panel full of liberal congressional members and witnesses in order to outnumber Republican representation and stifle our perspective from being heard.

While Congressman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) was the only Republican member and Logan Churchwell (Public Interest Legal Foundation) served as the only Republican witness, they stood their ground and spoke the truth.
