Major League Baseball's decision to move the 2021 All-Star Game from Georgia to Colorado in response to Georgia's new election law has caused many to scratch their heads considering the reality of election laws in other states with close connections to the League. As an editorial from the Washington Examiner points out, the move was a "cheap and easy way of getting credit for being socially responsible."

The backlash by woke corporate interests in response to Georgia's new election law got even worse over the weekend, and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has something to say about it: “We are witnessing a coordinated campaign by powerful and wealthy people to mislead and bully the American people," he said in a statement released on Monday morning.

Last week, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed a sweeping election reform bill into law that strengthens the state's election system. Unsurprisingly, the law was immediately met with criticism from those on the left including President Joe Biden and woke corporate interests who easily caved to pressure. During his first press conference since becoming president (yes, his first), Joe Biden made the ludicrous assertion that Georgia and other states hoping to enact election reforms make "Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle.”  

RNLA staff, members, and leaders from other states such as Florida all went to Georgia to help with “Election Day Operations” (EDO) or efforts to ensure the Georgia election was open, fair and honest. Although the term of art is “EDO”, RNLA-related efforts have been going on for weeks.

Clean voter rolls are an important safeguard that protects the integrity of the electoral process. However, one federal judge in Georgia has ruled that several thousand voters who were scheduled to be removed from 2 counties' voter rolls should remain on the rolls ahead of Georgia's Senate runoffs. The catch — the ruling was handed down by U.S. District Judge Leslie Abrams Gardner, the sister of one-time gubernatorial candidate and liberal activist Stacey Abrams.

The victories of Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue on January 5th in the Georgia Senate runoffs are crucial for preserving President Donald Trump's legacy in one of the most critical areas — the federal judiciary. If their Democratic opponents win, Republicans will lose their majority in the U.S. Senate:

As the two Senate races loom, party control of the Senate hangs in the balance, with the upper chamber currently made up of 50 Republicans and 48 Democrats. If Democrats win both runoff elections, raising the total to 50-50, the Democrats will take control of the Senate, with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris serving as the tie-breaking vote.

Without a Republican majority in the Senate, there would be no safeguard in place to block President Joe Biden from appointing radical jurists to the federal bench.

Much like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, it's still unclear where Georgia Democratic U.S. Senate candidates Raphael Warnock and John Ossoff stand on court packing. Just so it's clear, court packing refers to FDR's unsuccessful attempt to add additional justices to the Supreme Court for political reasons (Dictionary.com conveniently changed the definition to fit the Democrats' narrative that Senate Republicans are somehow doing something wrong by confirming President Trump's nominees to the federal judiciary).

Early voting has officially begun in Georgia to determine who will represent the state in the U.S. Senate. However, concerns still linger from the 2020 general election over the security of Georgia's election system. These concerns are part of a broader pattern of uneasiness about elections across the country. According to a recent Morning Consult survey, 40.6% of the respondents expressed distrust in the U.S. election system. A recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist survey reported that only 24% of Republicans thought the results of the 2020 election were accurate.

Americans are understandably frustrated with the 2020 election cycle, and trust in our elections is at an all-time low.
