Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · December 13, 2023 10:30 AM

After approval from the House Rules Committee, the full House is expected to vote on officially initiating an impeachment inquiry of President Joe Biden. Fox News reported:

The House of Representatives is taking a vote to formalize its impeachment inquiry of President Biden on Wednesday evening, a move Republicans argue will force the White House into complying with its investigation.

House Republicans React to Special Counsel Appointment in Hunter Biden Investigation

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · August 11, 2023 6:15 PM

Today, U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss was appointed Special Counsel by Attorney General Merrick Garland. As House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan points out:

First, David Weiss said he didn’t have the power he needed and wanted special counsel status.

Then, he said he had all the power he needs.

Now, he gets special counsel status because he didn’t really have the power he needs?

Something’s not right.

— Rep. Jim Jordan (@Jim_Jordan) August 11, 2023

House Ways and Means Chair Jason Smith gives a very plausible answer to Chairman Jordan’s question:

🧵Announcement of a special counsel only happened because congressional GOP exposed the two-tiered judicial system by shining light onto the investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged financial crimes & the political interference that shielded both him & POTUS from scrutiny.

Biden’s DOJ: Partisanship Over Principle?

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · August 03, 2023 7:59 PM

In recent weeks, the prioritization of partisanship over principle by the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) has increasingly come into focus. As we reported last week, a plea deal between Hunter Biden and the DOJ for tax crimes was rejected by Delaware U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika who pointed out that the agreement contained "unusual" terms that would have given Biden "broad immunity" from other charges being considered against him.

Hunter Biden Plea Deal Unravels

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · July 26, 2023 5:02 PM

On Wednesday, Hunter Biden was expected to plead guilty and accept a plea deal for a felony gun possession charge and two misdemeanor tax crimes. However, the deal fell through when Delaware U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika expressed concerns about the scope of the agreement. National Review reported:

Noreika described the deal struck with U.S. Attorney David Weiss of Delaware as “unusual” and questioned why the deal contained some “non-standard terms,” such as “broad immunity” from other potential charges.

House Republicans Uncover More Shady Biden Family Behavior

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · June 28, 2023 5:50 PM

As more information comes to light, the Biden family's problems continue to grow. Over the last week, House Oversight Republicans posted communications that point to the involvement of President Joe Biden in his family's shady business dealings.

Investigators wanted to get the location data to confirm Joe Biden was in the room when Hunter used him as leverage but there is no confidence the FBI obtained that data. pic.twitter.com/gEMIOVGYyl

Oversight a Priority as GOP Officially Takes House

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · November 17, 2022 9:18 PM

Republicans have officially won a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. One of the major priorities of the Party moving forward is to conduct congressional oversight of the Biden Administration:

After securing the House majority in the midterm elections, GOP Reps. James Comer of Kentucky and Jim Jordan of Ohio held a press conference Thursday to detail their impending investigations into the Biden administration.

POTUS Rewards Hunter Biden Laptop Denier with Position on Intelligence Advisory Board

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · August 31, 2022 6:10 PM

Last week, President Biden announced new appointments to the White House's Intelligence Advisory Board, seemingly rewarding one appointee who cast doubt on the legitimacy of the Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020. The Washington Examiner reported:

President Joe Biden’s latest pick for his Intelligence Advisory Board is an MSNBC pundit who was among dozens of former intelligence officials to sign a letter in 2020 claiming, without evidence, that the Hunter Biden laptop story was part of a Russian disinformation operation.

Sen. Ron Johnson: No Place for Political Bias at DOJ and FBI

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · August 01, 2022 5:40 PM

Allegations are piling up accusing the DOJ and the FBI of engaging in political bias in favor of the Biden family in an investigation into Hunter Biden's laptop. But as Senator Ron Johnson said on Twitter: "Political bias has no place at the Department of Justice or the FBI."

Political bias has no place at the Department of Justice or the FBI.

The American people deserve the truth. I will continue to call for any potential corruption within our federal agencies to be investigated to the fullest extent of the law. https://t.co/IjF0p9TMzK

Republicans Fight Back Against Big Tech Censorship in Wake of Hunter Biden Story Suppression

Posted on Blog by Lisa Dixon · October 16, 2020 4:58 PM

On Wednesday, the New York Post published an article about emails obtained from a laptop abandoned by Hunter Biden at a repair shop that confirm some of the accusations regarding impropriety in Hunter Biden's position on the board of Burisma and former Vice President Biden's involvement. This might have been a story that only made an impression with the devoted MAGA crowd, except that Twitter decided it violated a policy against "hacked materials," blocked users from tweeting the article, and suspended accounts that had posted it, including the accounts of White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, the Trump campaign's account (@TeamTrump), and the New York Post itself. This policy was not applied to the New York Times story from a few weeks ago that published information from President Trump's tax returns that had been obtained not just through irregular channels but illegally. Facebook quickly followed suit to suppress the story, and the mainstream media completely ignored that the story had been published.
