Democrats' Soft on Crime Policies Are Costing Americans

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · December 13, 2021 4:57 PM

The soft on crime policies of local and state Democrat officials are costing Americans. As the Manhattan Institute's Rafael A. Mangual wrote about in an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal, rising crime has become a top issue for voters, despite the Left trying to gaslight the American people into believing that rising crime shouldn't be a concern.

ICYMI: Senate Dem Trickery Advances Radical U.S. Attorney Nominee

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · December 07, 2021 7:44 PM

Last week, Senate Democrats took advantage of the absence of some Republican members to vote on a discharge petition for President Joe Biden's nominee to be the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts, Rachael Rollins. Rollins' nomination would not have moved forward without trickery from the Democrats:

Rollins's nomination has been shelved in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee since that panel deadlocked in September on whether to report it to the Senate floor, breaking with what Democrats have described as a longstanding tradition of respecting the will of presidents and home-state senators.

Five were killed and nearly 50 injured when a man plowed through the local Christmas parade in an SUV. The Milwaukee County DA's Office is now reviewing whether the suspect, a repeat violent offender, should have even been allowed to be out among the public in the first place.

Rittenhouse Found Not Guilty

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · November 19, 2021 9:27 PM

After several days of deliberation, a Wisconsin jury has acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse of all charges arising out of his use of deadly force against rioters who attacked him during last summer’s violent unrest in Kenosha. National Review reports:

Rittenhouse was arrested on August 26, 2020, after shooting three people during the riots that followed the police killing of Jacob Blake, a black man who was brandishing a knife and in the process of violating a restraining order when police arrived on scene. He was initially indicted on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, attempted first-degree intentional reckless homicide, failure to comply with an emergency order from a local government, and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Judge in Rittenhouse Trial Sends "Shockwaves" by Expelling MSNBC from Courtroom

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · November 18, 2021 5:58 PM

On Thursday, Judge Bruce Schroeder sent "shockwaves" through the courtroom when he banned MSNBC from the courtroom for the remainder of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial because one of their freelancers allegedly tried to contact jurors the night before. Fox News reported:

"The jury in this case is being transported from a different location in a bus with windows covered … Last evening a person who identified himself as James J. Morrison, and who claimed that he was a producer with NBC News, for MSNBC … police, when they stopped him, because he was following in the distance of about a block and went through a red light, pulled him over and inquired of him what was going on and he gave that information and stated that he had been instructed by Mrs. [MSNBC booking producer Irene] Byon to follow the jury bus."

Biden's Crime Crisis Enters Washington Dems' Backyard

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · July 23, 2021 4:29 PM

Biden's crime crisis has reached Washington Democrats' backyard. It's always been there, but now the violence is overflowing into areas where D.C.'s political class spend their time. On Thursday night, 2 were wounded in a shooting that erupted on a busy street in Washington D.C. during dinner time. Last Saturday, 3 more were injured in a shooting that took place outside of Nationals Park. The sad reality is that there have been more than 100 homicides in our nation's capital this year including a 6 year-old girl killed this past weekend.

Another City "Defunds" the Police, and Dems are Blaming... Republicans?

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · June 29, 2021 3:12 PM

As crime surges in the Democrat-run cities of America, another city has voted to slash a proposed budget for its police force. Last week, the Oakland City Council voted to divert millions of dollars away from the city's police department despite the recent rise in crime:

The Oakland, California, police chief spoke out on Monday against city leaders after they voted to divert nearly $20 million from law enforcement amid an alarming spike in crime.

Crime is Up, and Riots Continue for Democrat Cities in 2021

Posted on Blog by Elizabeth El-Rassy · May 10, 2021 5:16 PM

The common narrative in 2020 was that the year's uptick in violence would go away once Joe Biden was elected. However, that hasn't been the case. Crime is up in large, Democrat-run cities, and the riots continue. Even in this climate, some Democrats like Rep. Rashida Tlaib persist in pushing the "defund the police" movement.
