Tim Walz is the most ‘anti-parent candidate Kamala could have chosen’
Despite attempts to portray himself as a political moderate and folksy Midwesterner, Vice President Kamala Harris’ newly-tapped running mate is wildly out of step with American families. Gov. Tim Walz is facing major pushback from parent groups over his progressive record on children’s health, education, and crime.

The House Judiciary Committee and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government have issued a scathing report on U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland's targeting of parents concerned with the leftist agenda in K-12 education. The report explains:
From the initial set of material produced in response to the subpoenas, it is apparent that the Biden Administration misused federal law-enforcement and counterterrorism resources for political purposes. The Justice Department’s own documents demonstrate that there was no compelling nationwide law-enforcement justification for the Attorney General’s directive or the Department components’ execution thereof. After surveying local law enforcement, U.S. Attorney’s offices around the country reported back to Main Justice that there was no legitimate law-enforcement basis for the Attorney General’s directive to use federal law-enforcement and counterterrorism resources to investigate school board-related threats.

On behalf of House Republicans, Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan has issued a batch of subpoenas to Biden Administration officials regarding their role in the Department of Justice's (DOJ) alleged targeting of parents who stood up to local school boards for implementing woke policies. The Daily Caller reported:
According to the subpoena, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona is “commanded” to produce documents before the Judiciary Committee on March 1, 2023, at 9 a.m. ET. The subpoena comes as Jordan sent four letters to various officials Friday, calling for information and interviews the committee has been requesting, in a final warning shot before he sent the subpoena their way.

When it comes to electing people who will defend our rights, many believe the races for statewide and federal office are the most important. However, races for local offices play a crucial role in ensuring that our liberties are preserved from the ground up. In Florida, parental rights won big during Tuesday's primary as several school districts had their school boards flip to conservative control:
Five school boards in Clay, Miami Dade, Duval, Sarasota, and Martin counties are now Republican-dominated. Miami’s takeover is especially notable as it became the largest county in America with a conservative school-board majority. . .

The rights of parents and students are under attack at a Wisconsin middle school. Three students have been accused of violating their school district's Title IX policy for not using their classmate's preferred pronouns. The allegations are not only ludicrous, but the students and their parents have been denied the due process rights afforded to them by the school district's Title IX policy. The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL), who is representing the accused students and their families, explains:
Three eighth grade students in the Kiel Area School District were notified of a Title IX complaint and investigation for sexual harassment for using a biologically correct pronoun when referring to a classmate, instead of the student’s preferred pronoun of “they/them.” The District’s position appears to be that once a student informs others of alternate, preferred pronouns, any subsequent “mispronouning” automatically constitutes punishable sexual harassment under Title IX.

You know Democrats are losing an issue badly when liberal Beltway pundits are going on rants to deny even their own pollsters. As GOP hater Jennifer Rubin opens a recent column defending her liberal friends:
For months, pollsters, pundits and Republicans have been arguing that Democrats “lost” the education issue because of “woke” leftists and covid-related school closures.
While Rubin complains why she thinks pollsters are wrong, "Whose Children Are They," a movie released earlier this week, explains what is really going on. As Fox News explains:

It's been several weeks since Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a controversial memorandum that many see as a move to intimidate parents who are concerned about what is going on in their local school districts.
