The Democrats' War on President Trump over His Tax Returns

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · October 07, 2019 9:04 PM

Democrats want President Trump’s tax returns and will do almost anything to get them.  First there was the effort to keep him off the ballot in California by demanding his tax returns.  This law, if upheld, would have had the effect of disenfranchising thousands of voters.  Now the efforts turn to New York. A highly partisan DA looking to make waves found a Clinton-appointed Judge, Victor Marrero, to agree to issue a subpoena for President Trump’s tax returns from before he was President.  As we stated regarding the House Democrats' similar subpoena effort:

This subpoena is not a legitimate tool of oversight of the Executive Branch but instead an effort to investigate actions taken by a private citizen due to his subsequent political positions and activity.

Impeachment Madness: Details Matter, One Side Transparent, the Other Rushing to Judgment

Posted on Blog by Michael Thielen · September 24, 2019 8:31 PM

As Nancy Pelosi pushes House Democrats toward impeachment, we thought we would gather some reactions and responses from all sides of the spectrum that you may have missed.  But first off, we have to commend the President who has called for the release of the transcripts of his conversation with Ukraine President Zelensky and Senate Majority Leader McConnell and Senate Republicans who “hotlined” and voted unanimously to pass a resolution to provide the whistleblower complaint to Congress.

Trump is releasing the transcript.

McConnell moving the complaint to Senate intel.

You want transparency & the facts? You got it.

President Trump Spurs Renewed Calls for Voter ID

Posted on Blog by Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) · August 19, 2019 8:56 PM

Recently, voter ID has received renewed attention as President Trump has taken to Twitter and rallies to express his support for election integrity nationwide. Notably, the President tweeted last week that “No debate on Election Security should go forward without first agreeing that Voter ID must play a very strong part in any final agreement”. The debate the President refers to surrounds the Democrats’ attempt to pass provisions of H.R.1, an elections overhaul that circumvents state control of elections, handing power to the federal government.  In the words of Senate Leader Mitch McConnell HR 1 is the "Democrat Politician Protection Act."  HR 1 would effectively eliminate Voter ID.

Democrats Are Losing at Their Own Game

Posted on Blog by Christina Norton · May 03, 2019 6:29 PM

There are several take-aways from this week’s hearing with Attorney General Bill Barr before the Senate Judiciary Committee. We now know that Democrats will stop at nothing to lie, deflect, and accuse innocent people in order to try to hurt President Trump.

Trump sues to block subpoena from House Democrats seeking personal finance records

Posted on Blog by Christina Norton · April 22, 2019 3:37 PM

Once again, Democrats are playing politics to hurt the President instead of legislating to help the American people.

Earlier this month the Democratic Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Elijah Cummings, issued a subpoena to an accountant of President Trump’s to probe into his personal business records.

Today, President Trump struck back against the efforts of Democrats and liberals to limit free speech and debate.  President Trump issued an order to protect free speech on college campuses.  As RNLA Vice President for Communications Harmeet Dhillon tweeted:

⁦@realDonaldTrump⁩ announcing historic executive order holding colleges and universities accountable for suppressing free speech and for ripping off students and burdening them with debt for degrees of low value. Pres. Trump at CPAC: Recommits to Protecting Campus Free Speech in Campaign Speech Preview

Posted on Blog by Richard Kisielowski · March 04, 2019 8:15 PM

On Saturday, President Donald Trump delivered a rousing speech to CPAC at their annual conference just outside of Washington, D.C. His speech lasted for more than 2 hours, the longest of his presidency thus far.

One especially memorable moment was when President Trump called up Hayden Williams, who was attacked on the campus of the University of California: Berkeley while manning a conservative leadership recruitment table in mid-February. RNLA Vice President for Communications Harmeet Dhillon is currently representing Hayden in this matter.
