Washington, D.C. — The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) believes that elections should be open, fair, and honest, particularly amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic:

The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) has a team of leading election law lawyers available to speak to the media regarding election administration, integrity, and litigation issues surrounding the 2020 election and the importance of open, fair, and honest elections.

Today, President Donald J. Trump announced his nominee for the vacancy on the United States Supreme Court: Judge Amy Coney Barrett of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) strongly supports Judge Barrett’s nomination and applauds President Trump for his excellent choice.

The Board of Governors of the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) named Joanne W. Young of Washington, DC, the 2020 Republican Lawyer of the Year. Mrs. Young was selected in recognition of her outstanding professional accomplishments and years of tireless dedication in service to the Republican Party. She will be honored at a reception in Washington, DC, on Thursday, September 17, 2020.

The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) is pleased to announce that its fourth Robert J. Horn Chairman’s Award was bestowed on Harvey Tettlebaum during the 19th National Election Law Seminar in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, on July 10-11, 2020.

The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) thanks former Federal Election Commission (FEC) Commissioner Caroline Hunter for her years of public service on the FEC. Ms. Hunter resigned from the FEC earlier this month.

Hankins as the recipient of the 2020 Betty Murphy Award, which was presented at the National Election Law Seminar on July 11 in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Hankins was selected for the Betty Murphy Award as she is an unsung hero, trailblazer, community service leader, and an organization builder who inspires others’ spirits.
