BIO

Thomas Lane serves as America First Policy Institute's Law & Justice Campaign Director, where he leads the organization’s critical initiative focused on restoring the rule of law, ending the two-tiered system of justice, and defending the constitutional rights of all Americans. Thomas brings frontline experience to the fight: The years of misused government power that followed his time as Election Day Operations Director for President Trump's 2020 re-election campaign in Arizona and New Mexico further cemented his resolve to protect every American from the weaponization of government. Thomas also serves as AFPI's Elections Policy Director.

Thomas also brings legislative and legal expertise from his roles as Elections Counsel, Coalitions Director, Assistant Parliamentarian, and Director of the Congressional Election Observer Program for the U.S. House Committee on House Administration. In 2024, Thomas ran the most extensive election observer operation in congressional history following the passage of the Confirmation of Congressional Observer Access (COCOA) Act—legislation he was instrumental in crafting and passing through a divided Congress.

Previously, Thomas built and directed Virginia’s 2021 election integrity model for the campaigns of the winning Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and 52 State Representatives—mobilizing more than 6,000 volunteers in a framework now replicated nationwide by the Republican National Committee (RNC).

Thomas has also served in the chambers of retired Arizona Supreme Court Justice Andrew W. Gould, as a law clerk for the Goldwater Institute, and has worked for multiple Fortune 1000 companies as well as the Arizona House of Representatives and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Originally from Southern California, Thomas holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and is admitted to practice law in Washington, D.C. He also serves as President of the Christian Legal Society DC Metropolitan Area Chapter and volunteers in his church’s Kids Ministry.
