BIO

Kisa Motiwala currently serves as Counsel for the House Judiciary Committee, conducting oversight of the Biden-Harris Administration and its agencies. Prior to her time on Capitol Hill, she served as Junior Counsel for Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections (RITE). At RITE, Kisa helped to ensure the integrity of American elections by supporting litigation that protected election laws from attack and abuse by partisan actors. She also worked to increase voter confidence by expanding social media engagement through video content that explained key election integrity issues in the 2022 midterms. Before that, she worked in private practice at a boutique litigation firm.

Kisa also served as a legal intern for the White House Counsel’s Office during the Trump Administration. During her time there, she assisted in the nomination and confirmation process of now-Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. While in law school, she interned for the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, and the Florida Attorney General’s Office.

Kisa is currently the Young Lawyers Co-Chair for the Republican National Lawyers Association, where she works to increase political engagement amongst young lawyers and recruit volunteer attorneys for election integrity operations during the 2024 presidential election cycle. She is also a passionate advocate for pediatric cancer patients and serves on the Fundraising and Marketing Committee for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

Kisa is the youngest graduate of The George Washington University Law School (GW Law), having earned her Juris Doctor at age twenty, with accolades for her academic work, pro bono service, and extracurricular activities. While at GW Law, she served as the Vice President of the GW Law Chapter of the Federalist Society, Competition Chair for the Moot Court Board, Vice President of the Mock Trial Board, and Managing Editor of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal. She graduated magna cum laude from Florida Atlantic University, earning her Bachelor’s degree and high school diploma concurrently at age seventeen.
