About the Honoree

Edward “Eddie” Greim is a partner at Graves Garrett Greim LLC and a nationally recognized constitutional and election law attorney whose practice focuses on election law, First Amendment litigation, complex commercial disputes, and politically sensitive investigations and enforcement matters. Named a National Law Journal Constitutional and Election Law Trailblazer, Eddie has successfully challenged campaign finance restrictions, represented clients in state and federal election and ethics matters, litigated redistricting and initiative-petition cases, and defended public officials, organizations, and private citizens facing legal challenges arising from political viewpoints or policy objectives.

Eddie shepherded Louisiana v. Callais through the courts and successfully argued it before the U.S. Supreme Court, restoring the correct interpretation of the Voting Rights Act under the Constitution. His work has included a nationwide class action against the IRS involving allegations of viewpoint-based targeting, challenges involving Wisconsin political groups and nonprofits, an amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court’s Rucho redistricting litigation, and constitutional challenges involving government emergency powers. An accomplished appellate advocate, Eddie has argued before multiple state supreme courts and four federal courts of appeals. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri with degrees in economics and political science.
