Monique A. Miles is the founder of a successful law firm, Old Towne Associates, P.C., where she advises individuals and businesses on matters involving employment agreements, employment discrimination and retaliation, wage and hour compliance, sexual harassment, business torts, breach of contract, and third-party investigations. She litigates employment cases in state and federal courts in Virginia and the District of Columbia from inception up to settlement or trial.

EDUCATION

Ms. Miles earned her B.A. in Foreign Affairs and Philosophy from the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA) in 2002. She earned her J.D. from Regent University School of Law (Virginia Beach, VA) in 2008.

HONORS AND AWARDS

The Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Conference presented Ms. Miles with a Significant Service Award in June of 2016 and an Outstanding Service Award in June 2012 for her service as Chair of the Women and Minorities in the Profession Commission.

BOARD SERVICE

An entrepreneur and social justice advocate, Ms. Miles has been involved with the Northern Virginia community for the past 30 years. Since 2015, Ms. Miles has served on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association. Since 2017, she has served on the Board of Directors for Community Lodgings, a local nonprofit that provides affordable and transitional housing and educational programs for children and their parents. Ms. Miles served on the Board of Directors for the Legal Services Corporation of Virginia from 2013-2016 and also served on the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Conference from 2012-2016.

PERSONAL

Ms. Miles was born on Travis Air Force Base to two Air Force officers. She was raised in Santa Maria, CA and Northern Virginia. She課ェs lived in Las Cruces, NM; Centreville, Virginia; Charlottesville, VA; Kawagoe, Saitama, Japan; Virginia Beach, VA; and currently resides in Alexandria, VA. Ms. Miles has traveled to Brazil, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Curaフ、ao, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, St. Barthelemy, St. Martin, Scotland, Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey, and Vietnam. Ms. Miles enjoys volunteering, long distance running, playing polo, and spending time with her poodles, Charlie and Mireille.
